- 126 mg/dl (7 mmol/l) or more
- Over 200 mg/dl (11.1 mmol.l) from two random blood sugar test, plus diabetes symptoms
- Over 200 mg/dl (11.1 mmol/l) from oral glucose test.
- More 6.5% from A1c test result for two different days, when you take the test.
The most important thing you need to understand here is always taking the test from credible testing center. Make sure they have certification for doing the test. That will give you more accurate result. At least, they must have National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program (NGSP) certification and Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) standard.
